"The Porthole"(2025) is a reduction print in a wonderful hand-painted frame. A reduction print is a multicolor print in which the separate colors are printed from the same block of wood, at different stages of carving. The piece depicts an underwater seascape as seen from either side of a porthole, rendered in watery greens, yellows and rust tones. Nancy Frost Begin is well-known as a printmaker, crafter of contemporary folk art, watercolorist, and oil painter. She is a member of The Agave Gallery. Generously donated by the artist.
