A large handcrafted Navajo sterling silver cross pendant, set with eleven bezel-set amber cabochons in warm honey and cognac tones. Each stone displays natural inclusions, with sizes ranging from 14.78 x 13.90 mm to 11.23 x 12.42 mm. The back is stamped “Sterling” and “EA”, a hallmark attributed to Navajo silversmiths Erma Arviso or Evelyn Abeita. The open bale (5.2 mm) allows for wear with a variety of chains.
Substantial in size and presence, the pendant measures 4.75 x 3.25 x .38 inches and weighs 25.9 grams. A beautiful blend of Native American silverwork and natural amber, it makes both a devotional piece and a collector’s statement.
