Description

Set of 6 Hopi Sterling Silver Button Covers, .75", 21.7g

Set of six Hopi sterling silver button covers, each featuring a traditional stamped design identical to documented mid-century examples. These covers display bold linear and symbolic motifs emblematic of Hopi silverwork from the 1940s–50s. For comparison, see a nearly identical single cover offered by Medicine Man Gallery: Hopi Silver Button Cover, c. 1940–50s

The sterling silver fronts (tested) measure .75" in diameter and .26" in depth, with sturdy non-sterling fastening backs. Together, the set weighs 21.72 grams. Complete matched groups in this style are uncommon, making these highly desirable for collectors of Native American silver or for use in Western wear and regalia.

Condition:

Good vintage condition with natural patina and surface wear consistent with age. Silver remains attractive with no cracks or dents. The covers have not been polished, leaving the choice to the buyer. Mechanisms are functional and secure.

Dimensions:

  • Each Cover: .75" diameter x .26" depth
  • Total Weight: 21.72 grams
  • Quantity: 6 pieces
