A beautifully crafted vintage Zuni cuff bracelet, signed AB, dating to the 1970s. The central oval medallion features a stylized bird perched among branches, executed in classic Zuni stone inlay technique. Materials include mother of pearl, abalone, onyx, turquoise, coral, and shell, each precisely cut to create a vibrant pictorial design. The inlay is framed within a scalloped silver bezel bordered by twisted rope and traditional stampwork, all in sterling silver (tested).
This bracelet is an excellent example of Zuni artistry, blending intricate silverwork with the tribe’s celebrated pictorial inlay style.
