1960s Navajo #8 Spiderweb Turquoise & Sterling Silver Ring
A bold 1960s Navajo sterling silver ring showcasing a natural #8 spiderweb turquoise cabochon. The bezel-set stone, measuring approximately 16.08 x 11.91 mm, displays a brilliant sky-blue color with intricate brown web-like matrixing — a hallmark of turquoise from the historic #8 mine in Nevada. The elongated shield-shaped face is framed by a hand-twisted rope border and accented with applied silver beadwork, all mounted on a sturdy split shank band.
This substantial piece measures about 1.24 x 0.78 inches across the face, rising 0.26 inches off the finger. Weighing 10.56 grams, it is both striking in presence and comfortably wearable. A fine example of mid-century Navajo craftsmanship and one of the most collectible turquoise varieties, making it a standout addition to any Southwestern or Native American jewelry collection.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with natural patina to the silver. The turquoise is secure in its bezel setting, with vivid coloration and strong matrixing. Minor wear consistent with age; polishing left to buyer’s preference.
