Uncut 16-Note $20 Sheet — Series 1996 AL Star Notes, BEP Display Holder
Presented is an official uncut 16-note sheet of Series 1996 $20 Federal Reserve Notes, issued by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP). Each note bears the portrait of Andrew Jackson on the obverse and the White House on the reverse. The notes are from the AL block, district 12 (San Francisco), with serial numbers in the 069xxxx–070xxxx range, and include star notes (“*”), signifying replacement notes.
Star note uncut sheets of Series 1996 $20 bills were released by the BEP in limited quantities beginning in 1998, making them significantly scarcer than standard circulation notes. Collectors particularly prize these sheets both for their condition and for the consecutive nature of the serials, which remain aligned across the sheet. With crisp printing, strong ink, and vibrant detail, this example captures a transitional era of U.S. currency design.
Large-format 16-note $20 sheets are especially desirable as they were produced in far smaller numbers than $1 or $2 sheets, and examples from the 1996 issue are now seldom encountered intact. This sheet makes for an impressive display and a rare opportunity for collectors of modern Federal Reserve Notes.
Condition
Excellent uncirculated condition. The sheet remains flat, with intact borders, sharp corners, and bold ink. No folds, creases, or discoloration visible. A clean and well-preserved collectible.
Dimensions
Approximately 21 x 18 inches.
