Offered here is a forged £20 Bank of England “white note”, dated 1 February 1938, signed by Chief Cashier K. O. Peppiatt, and bearing prefix 25/N—a series documented among Bernhard productions. The note carries the familiar seated Britannia vignette and ornate “Twenty” cartouche, yet with the subtle softness of engraving that betrays its clandestine origin.
