Harbour Longmire Mahogany Console Table – 69 Inch, Shell Carved Cabriole Legs
A vintage mahogany console table retailed by Harbour Longmire of Oklahoma City, the celebrated “Store of Today and Tomorrow.” Founded in 1911, Harbour Longmire was renowned for producing and retailing high-quality furniture, and their flagship downtown building was once considered the second-largest furniture store in the nation. This example, dating to the early–mid 20th century, showcases solid wood construction with a finished surface on both sides, allowing for versatile placement.
The rectangular top is supported by cabriole legs with carved shell motifs at the knees, joined by stretcher supports (two absent), and resting on pad feet. Measuring 69 inches wide, the table offers substantial presence, ideal for use as a hall, sofa, or display table. Retaining its original patina, this piece carries both decorative appeal and regional provenance, enhanced by the surviving Harbour Longmire retailer’s plaque.
Condition:
In good condition with age-appropriate wear. Surface scratches, scuffing, finish wear, and stains are visible. Despite these issues, the table remains sturdy, with its original patina intact and a presentation consistent with its age and history.
