Set of 4 German 835 Silver Coasters, Crescent Moon & Crown
Set of four German silver coasters, each struck with the crescent moon and crown hallmark, the national silver mark adopted in Germany from 1888 onward. They are further stamped “835,” confirming a silver content of 83.5%, and bear a maker’s mark resembling “HJ.” Each coaster features a scalloped border with stepped edge detailing, presenting a refined yet versatile design suited to both display and use.
Weighing a combined 54.7 grams, the set demonstrates the craftsmanship of early to mid-20th-century German silversmiths, when the 835 silver standard was in widespread use.
