Sterling & Reinforced Silver Tableware – Empire, Revere & Shakers
A group of vintage sterling and sterling-reinforced silver tableware from notable American makers. Included is an Empire Sterling pedestal bowl, marked “Sterling Weighted 6 1”, measuring 6 x 6 inches (gross weight 214.9 g), with a traditional pedestal form and gadroon border. Also present is a Revere Silversmiths handled basket, marked “Sterling Reinforced with Cement 876”, with rope-edged rim and swing handle (gross weight 112.5 g). Completing the lot is a pair of salt and pepper shakers, marked “Sterling Weighted 409”, of urn shape with gadroon borders (combined gross weight 79.8 g).
Condition:
Good overall. Tarnish and surface wear throughout. The pedestal bowl shows denting, the basket has dents, and one shaker is dented at the base. We leave polishing and restoration to the buyer’s discretion. Maker’s marks remain clear.
