Randahl Sterling Silver Bowl, No. 50 — Mid-Century Modern, 160g
Sterling silver bowl by Randahl, crafted in a square form with softly scalloped corners and gently rounded sides. Marked Randahl Sterling 50 on the underside, this piece reflects the refined yet functional style for which Julius O. Randahl’s Chicago silversmithing shop became known. Trained at the Kalo Shop before founding his own studio in 1911, Randahl developed a reputation for clean-lined, hand-wrought silver that evolved into streamlined, mid-century modern forms distributed nationally.
Measuring 1 1/4 x 5 x 5 inches and weighing 160 grams, this bowl embodies the sculptural elegance and enduring craftsmanship that make Randahl silver a desirable collectible. The firm remained active through the mid-20th century, eventually being acquired by Reed & Barton in 1965.
