A fine Chinese cloisonné enamel set comprising a rounded bowl and matching dish, both featuring a striking turquoise ground decorated with allover gilt wirework in a fish-scale and scroll pattern. The dish displays a central motif of a blooming peony surrounded by smaller blossoms and gilt leaves, while the bowl is left undecorated for a refined contrast. Both pieces are finished with gilt-bronze rims and bases, lending a rich accent to their elegant forms. The undersides are marked “CHINA,” indicating export production, likely from the early to mid-20th century.
