Lizard & Quail Motif Mexican Folk Art Vases
A lovely pair of mid-20th century, hand-coiled Mexican pottery vases, intricately hand-painted with folkloric motifs. One features animated lizards with geometric color-blocked bodies beneath a decorative triangular band, and the other portrays quail under a radiant sun and desert cactus silhouette—all on warm terracotta grounds with bold black rims. The unsigned pots bear “Hecho en México” import labels, common among quality artisan pottery exported in that period. Though maker unknown, the lively imagery and craftsmanship evoke the rich ceramic traditions of Jalisco’s Tonalá region.
Ideal for collectors of Southwestern or Mexican folk art, these vases offer standout visual appeal and vintage character, whether displayed together or individually.

Excellent—no damage. Paint and finish are intact, with vivid coloration.
