Apple iBook G3 Clamshell Graphite SE M6411 — 466MHz, OS X 10.3.9, w/ Charger

Offered here is an Apple iBook G3 “Clamshell” Special Edition (Model M6411) in the rare Graphite finish, produced between 2000 and 2001. A true design icon, the Clamshell iBook was Apple’s boldest laptop of its era, instantly recognizable for its rounded translucent case, integrated carry handle, and playful curves that mirrored the iMac G3. This Special Edition Graphite model raised the bar with a 466 MHz PowerPC G3 processor, DVD-ROM drive, FireWire connectivity, and expanded hard drive capacity — making it one of the most advanced consumer notebooks of its time.

This example is running Mac OS X 10.3.9, with 128 MB of RAM installed, and includes its matching original round “puck” Apple charger. The 12.1-inch TFT display powers on to reveal Apple’s classic Aqua interface, while the translucent keyboard and oversized trackpad showcase the forward-thinking design language that continues to inspire Apple products today.

The Clamshell iBook was also the first mainstream laptop to introduce wireless networking (AirPort), cementing its role as a pioneer of mobile computing. Condition

In good vintage condition, with signs of honest use. The battery holds some charge. There is a crack in the bezel around the Apple logo, surface scratches and scuffs to the casing, and the keyboard shows expected yellowing from age. The included original puck charger shows wear to the cord but remains functional. Despite cosmetic flaws, the system powers on and is operational, making this an excellent display piece or cornerstone for any Apple collection.
