Royal Tettau Germany US Zone Porcelain Soup Tureen & Plates, 7 Pc
A fine Royal Tettau porcelain dinnerware set, produced in Germany during the U.S. Zone occupation period (1945–1949). This 7-piece set features a covered soup tureen with a fitted lid and ladle notch, paired with an 11" Rogers & Bro A1 silverplate ladle, along with four 10" dinner plates and three 9.75" bowls. Each piece showcases crisp white porcelain with a swirling relief pattern, scalloped edges, and gold trim, hallmarks of mid-20th century German craftsmanship.
The “Germany U.S. Zone” marking on the underside confirms its production during the brief post-war occupation era, making it both a functional table service and a collectible piece of history. Sets from this period are especially sought after by collectors for their quality and historic provenance, bridging traditional Bavarian porcelain artistry with the transitional designs of the late 1940s.
