Playful and vibrant, this hand-painted retablo by El Santo Madrazo (Cielito Lindo Estudio, Mexico) stages three witty love vignettes inside a wall-mountable steel shadow box. Across the façades, the Spanish captions read: “Si el amor es fuego… ¡Me estoy quemando!” (If love is fire… I am burning!); “Si el amor es agua… ¡Me estoy mojando!” (If love is water… I am getting wet!); and “Si el amor es olvido… ¿Qué te estaba diciendo?” (If love is forgetfulness… what was I saying?).
