1970s Art Nouveau Style Tooled Leather Mirror – Hand Painted, 16" x 11"
A distinctive 1970s mirror in the Art Nouveau revival style, crafted with tooled and hand-painted leather mounted on a wood frame. The design centers on a flowing-haired female figure holding a flower, surrounded by embossed floral motifs painted in earthy tones of terracotta, green, cream, and turquoise. An asymmetrical oval mirror with a crescent form above completes the decorative presentation.
Produced in 1976 by “Darren for Oden Inc.,” this mirror reflects the 1970s interest in handcrafted artistry and decorative revivals of early 20th-century styles. Its bold design, textural detailing, and warm coloration make it both a functional mirror and a striking wall accent, suited to collectors of vintage leatherwork or period-inspired interiors.
Condition
Good condition overall, with expected wear to the leather consistent with age, including light scuffing and surface marks. Mirror glass remains clear and reflective, with strong color retention in the painted design.
