1921 Morgan Silver Dollar – Philadelphia Mint – .900 Silver
This listing offers a 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint, the final year of issue for the series before the transition to the Peace Dollar. The obverse depicts George T. Morgan’s portrait of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap with “E PLURIBUS UNUM” around and the date below. The reverse shows a heraldic eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch, encircled by a laurel wreath, with the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and denomination “ONE DOLLAR.” This historic issue is notable as the only Morgan Dollar produced with a slightly modified design in 1921.
