This listing features an original 1945 Mexico 2 Pesos gold coin struck at the Mexico City Mint. The reverse displays the national emblem of Mexico: an eagle perched on a cactus with a snake in its beak, surrounded by the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. Although the date was later used on restrikes, this example originates from a long-held private collection and is consistent in appearance and provenance with the original 1945 issue.
