This Navajo ketoh bracelet, signed IG, is crafted in sterling silver and mounted on a traditional black leather backing with rawhide ties. Ketohs, originally designed as protective wrist guards for archery, later became ceremonial and decorative pieces, prized for their craftsmanship and symbolism within Navajo culture.
The silver plaque features three natural turquoise cabochons set in a vertical alignment, framed by hand-stamped and repoussé designs of feathers and floral motifs, bordered with classic twisted rope and scalloped edgework. The turquoise exhibits attractive matrixing, adding visual depth and character.
