Paladine Roye “Hunter’s Song” Signed & Numbered Lithograph, 1976
Limited-edition lithograph titled Hunter’s Song by Paladine Roye (Ponca Tribe, 1946–2001). This evocative work portrays a Native American hunter on horseback traversing snowy plains, while the spiritual images of ancestors and chanters rise in the clouds above, symbolizing medicine songs and the enduring connection between hunter and buffalo. Rich in symbolic detail, the piece captures Roye’s mission to preserve the cultural traditions of the Ponca people through art.
Signed by the artist in pencil lower left and numbered 628/750, the piece includes supporting documentation from Ni-Wo-Di-Hi Galleries in Austin, Texas. Paladine Roye, also known by his Ponca name Pon-Cee-Cee, was a widely recognized Native American artist whose works continue to be highly regarded by collectors.
