Description

Frankoma CG Bell Pepper Mugs & Yellow Pottery – Set of 8

This lot presents a vibrant collection of eight Frankoma pottery pieces in a striking yellow glaze, highlighted by a set of four “CG” Bell Pepper mugs. Each mug bears the segmented pepper form with “CG Frankoma” marking on the base and measures approx. 4.25″ high x 3.25″ diameter. Known for their playful sculptural shape and bold mid-century styling, these mugs are among the more collectible Frankoma designs.

Accompanying the mugs are additional Frankoma pieces, each maker-marked and produced in the same sunny glaze:

  • Model 22A Footed Planter/Compote – approx. 4.25″ x 5″ diameter
  • Model 37 Scalloped Planter – approx. 4″ x 4.75″ diameter
  • Model 835 Carafe with Cork – approx. 8″ x 5″ x 4″ diameter

Together, these pieces showcase Frankoma’s enduring legacy, founded in Oklahoma in 1933 by John Frank and celebrated for its use of local clays and regional color palettes. This grouping highlights the artistry, functionality, and cheerful mid-century appeal that make Frankoma pottery highly collectible today.

Condition

All items are in very good vintage condition, showing only light surface wear consistent with age. No chips, cracks, or repairs are noted. The glaze remains vibrant, with typical firing variations and base wear expected of Frankoma pottery. The carafe retains its original cork.
