Set of 3 Huichol Beaded Lizards – Carved Wood & Glass Beads
A set of three Huichol (Wixárika) beaded lizards, each carved from wood and adorned with thousands of hand-applied glass beads. These traditional folk art pieces showcase the vibrant artistry of the Huichol people of Mexico, renowned for their intricate beadwork and bold geometric and symbolic patterns. The lizards display vivid designs in multicolored beads, making them striking decorative objects and excellent examples of indigenous craftsmanship.
This grouping includes three sizes, each with unique patterning, ideal for display together or separately. A Campbell’s soup can is pictured for scale.
Condition:
Overall good condition. Colors remain bright and beadwork is largely intact. One lizard shows some areas of absent beads, consistent with use and handling. Please review photos closely for details.
