Akai CS-F39R Auto-Reverse 3-Head Cassette Deck – Dolby B/C, Metal, Japan

Offered is an Akai CS-F39R stereo cassette deck, designed and built in Japan during the early 1980s (circa 1982–84). This auto-reverse, 3-head, single-cassette deck delivers excellent playback and recording flexibility, with support for Type I, CrO₂, and Metal tapes. Featuring Dolby B and Dolby C noise reduction and an MPX filter, it offers smooth, low-noise sound. It includes quick-reverse via infrared sensor, a bi-capstan drive system with separate pinch rollers for forward and reverse, and an IPLS memory auto-playback feature. The 12-segment FL bar meters, full-logic transport controls, and timer-start functionality make operation intuitive and responsive.

Condition 
In very good vintage condition. The control panel is clean, displays are bright, and all original buttons and ports are present. Some expected wear is visible around the serial number plate and casing edges. Powers on and appears fully functional; untested in all modes, sold as-is.
