Up for auction is a Canon TX 35mm single-lens reflex film camera, produced in the mid-1970s as a dependable and straightforward manual-exposure model. This example comes paired with the Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 S.C. lens, a well-regarded standard prime with sharp rendering, smooth focus action, and Canon’s “Spectra Coating” for reduced flare and improved contrast.
The Canon TX was introduced as a simplified version of the FTb, offering rugged build quality and full compatibility with Canon’s FD lens system. Condition:
In very good cosmetic condition with minor surface wear from age and handling. Optics are clear with no major scratches or haze. Shutter activates properly at various speeds. The light meter was not tested due to a dead battery. Body shows small scuffs and finish wear, particularly along edges, but overall presents well.
