Kodak Reflex Twin Lens Reflex Camera – c.1946-1949
a vintage Kodak Reflex Twin Lens Reflex Camera, produced in Rochester, New York, between 1946 and 1949. This medium-format camera features the distinctive dual-lens design, with a Kodet viewing lens paired with an Anaston 83mm f/3.5 taking lens set in a Flash Kodamatic shutter. Designed for 620 roll film, it was Kodak’s entry into the twin-lens reflex market, competing with Rolleiflex and other mid-century TLRs.
The body is finished in black enamel with textured leatherette panels and chrome trim. Controls include shutter speeds from 1/2 to 1/200 sec, plus Bulb and Time, along with adjustable aperture settings ranging from f/3.5 to f/22. A waist-level viewfinder completes the classic TLR configuration. Today, this model is sought after by collectors and vintage photography enthusiasts alike for both its design and its historical place in Kodak’s postwar lineup.
Condition
In good overall condition with expected age wear. Some areas of the leatherette covering show light peeling and lifting, particularly along edges and corners. Minor scuffs and finish wear are present on the hood and metal trim. This camera has not been tested with film. Please review photos for the best representation.
