Description

13" Abstract Landscape Glaze Charger – Tim Wierwille, White Mountain Pottery

Large studio pottery charger by Tim Wierwille of White Mountain Pottery, known for his painterly glaze techniques and masterful layering of color. This piece features a horizon-like abstract composition in earthy ochre, rust, chocolate brown, and deep teal, accented with a vivid cobalt blue band. The effect suggests an abstracted landscape, with fluid brushwork and rich glaze transitions characteristic of Wierwille’s work.

Signed “TW” to the verso — a mark documented on other examples by Wierwille — this charger dates to the contemporary or late-20th century period and reflects the distinctive style for which White Mountain Pottery is collected. Measuring 13 inches in diameter, it makes a striking display piece or table centerpiece.

Studio pottery enthusiasts will appreciate the unique hand-applied glazing, substantial form, and confirmed artist attribution, making this both a decorative object and a collectible work of ceramic art.
