Description

Oldowan-Style Flint Chopper – Early Handheld Cutting Tool (~1.2 oz)

A genuine prehistoric Oldowan-style chopper, skillfully knapped from dark flint or chert to fit comfortably in the hand. Measuring approximately 1 3/4″ × 2″ and weighing 1.2 oz, it features a distinctly flaked cutting edge on one side—ideal for chopping or slicing tasks—while the opposite side remains rounded for ergonomic grip. Crafted during the Lower Paleolithic, this type of tool was used by early hominins between ~2.9 Ma and 1.7 Ma, representing one of the earliest examples of human tool technology. A compelling piece for collectors and educators, offering a tactile connection to humanity’s deep past. Includes a secure display or human origins collection.

Condition:
Good condition. No modern damage; flaked edges and surfaces reflect authentic prehistoric use and wear.
