Mid-Century Home Decorators “Prestige” Silverplate Flatware
Extensive 183-piece “Prestige” silverplate flatware service by Home Decorators, Inc., Newark, NY, circa early 1950s. Part of the distinguished Prestige Plate line, known for its ornate floral and scroll handle pattern, this series was marketed as a premium flatware choice of its day, with some releases promoted under the guidance of etiquette expert Emily Post. Each piece is maker marked, and the set is presented in the original two-tier wooden storage chest with burgundy felt interior, accompanied by original documentation.
