Antique Princess Feather Pattern Oil Lamp with Etched Hunting Theme Shade
Antique Eagle burner oil lamp with chimney, featuring an acid-etched glass shade with a detailed hunting scene of riders, hounds, and deer amid foliage. The base is in the Princess Feather pattern, an Early American Pressed Glass design first produced in the 1890s by Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co., and later appearing in Indiana Glass Co. catalogs from Dunkirk, Indiana, in the early 1900s. The amber-to-clear pressed glass font and foot showcase intricate feather motifs and scrolling detail, reflecting the artistry of turn-of-the-century American glassmaking.
A desirable combination of decorative elegance and historical craftsmanship, this lamp is ideal for collectors of antique lighting and EAPG glass.
Condition:
Good overall with oil residue and paint loss throughout. Signs of use consistent with age. Etched glass shade intact with crisp detail; amber glass base free from major chips. Burner and metal fittings show expected tarnish and oxidation.
