Description

Pair of Mexican Folk Art Terracotta Jars – Hand Painted, Twine Wrapped

Offered here is a pair of vintage Mexican folk art terracotta jars, each marked “Mexico” on the underside. Both are hand-painted with traditional red floral and vine motifs over natural clay, showcasing the warmth and charm of regional craftsmanship. The smaller jar retains braided twine wrapped through its loop handles, adding authentic texture and rustic appeal. Their ovoid forms and earthy palette make them striking display pieces for a farmhouse, desert-inspired, or folk art setting.

Condition:
Good overall, with some surface wear, scuffing, and shelf marks consistent with age. No cracks or structural flaws noted. Twine wrapping shows mild fraying but is secure. Painted decoration remains vivid, with light wear as shown in photos.

Dimensions:

  • Smaller jar: 13.5" H x 13" Diameter
  • Larger jar: 20" H x 17" Diameter
