Cochiti Pueblo Storyteller Turtle Figurine – Signed D.M., 1996

Hand-painted pottery storyteller figure from Cochiti Pueblo, signed “D.M – Cochiti 96” on the base. This charming piece depicts a turtle carrying a seated female figure, a child on her back, and a finely decorated olla jar. Painted in the traditional Cochiti palette of red, black, and natural clay, it reflects the whimsical yet symbolic style for which Pueblo storytellers are celebrated.

Condition:
Good condition, with no damage. Paint remains strong, and surface wear is minimal and consistent with age.
