Vintage Western Ranch Saddle – Full Leather, Fleece-Lined
Classic full leather Western ranch saddle, likely mid-to-late 20th century, featuring a deep seat, high cantle, and traditional horn for roping or working cattle. The warm tan leather has a smooth, untooled surface with double-stitched edges and rounded skirt corners, complemented by brass hardware and rawhide lacing details. The saddle is fully fleece-lined underneath for horse comfort and includes intact stirrups, billet straps, and rigging components.
Its robust build and utilitarian design suggest it was made for ranch or trail use rather than show. Though unmarked, the craftsmanship points to a well-constructed working saddle built to last. An excellent piece for functional riding, display, or collectors of Western equestrian gear.
Condition:
In good condition with moderate wear consistent with age and use. The leather remains supple overall, with visible surface scuffs, darkening from use, and some minor creasing. The sheepskin underside shows light discoloration but retains density and coverage. Some patina to the metal hardware, and the original latigos and straps are still attached. Please review images for close-ups of wear and underside fleece.
Dimensions:
Approximately 25 x 20 x 18 inches (Length x Width x Height)
Seat size: Approx. 15 inches
