Description

Gustav Becker Vienna Regulator Wall Clock – Walnut, c.1874–1875

Elegant late 19th-century Vienna regulator wall clock by Gustav Becker, dating to circa 1874–1875 based on its Freiburg factory serial number 98666. The case is crafted from walnut with ebonized accents and features a removable top with turned finials, glass-paneled door, and matching glass side panels for viewing the movement. The white enamel dial with Roman numerals is framed by a brass bezel and fitted with ornate black hands. The brass movement bears Gustav Becker’s Fabrik crown-and-anchor trademark and drives an ornate R-A pendulum. Tested and fully functional, it runs well and keeps accurate time. Winding key included.

A fine example from the golden era of German precision clockmaking, this Vienna regulator blends quality craftsmanship with timeless design, making it ideal for collectors or as an elegant decorative feature.

Condition:
Fair overall. Fully functional and tested; keeps time well. Chime striker is bent and requires adjustment. Burn mark to left side, previous repairs to the door, and finish wear consistent with age. Keys included.
