Description

“Wolf” Navajo Horsehair Pottery Bowl – 4″×8″

Hand-thrown Navajo horsehair pottery bowl, signed simply “Wolf” on the base. The white raku-fired body bears distinctive organic black smoke trails—burned-in horsehair patterns—each one unique. The form is shallow, wide, and elegantly minimalist, measuring approximately 4″ high by 8″ diameter and weighing roughly 1 lb. Its stylish yet elemental aesthetic blends fine Southwestern craft with rustic, natural decoration. Ideal for display, Southwest décor, or as a collectible studio pottery accent. Condition is good, with light scuffing and shelf wear; no chips or repairs noted.

Condition Paragraph:
In good condition overall with light scuffing and shelf wear consistent with display. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Variations in horsehair marks and surface tone are inherent to the firing technique.

Dimensions:
Approx. 4″ × 8″ diameter; weight ~1 lb. (Campbell’s soup can included for scale.)
