Spode Christmas Tree 3‑Piece Set (S3324): Sleigh, Bowl & Pierced Tray
This elegant three‑piece grouping is part of Spode’s iconic “Christmas Tree” pattern, officially model number S3324, produced in England by the historic Stoke‑on‑Trent pottery firm Spode, founded in 1770 by Josiah Spode.
Originally designed by Harold Holdway and introduced in 1938 for the U.S. market, the “Christmas Tree” motif quickly became one of Spode’s most enduring and beloved designs. The S3324 variant, first produced in 1959, is distinguished by its narrow green band, color-transfer tree graphic with wrapped gifts beneath, and the addition of a Santa figure atop the tree—an American-market influence. These pieces were typically made of durable earthenware and intended for both display and practical holiday use.
Each item is marked on the underside with Spode’s backstamp and the corresponding shape code: S3324-Z, A12, and A16.
