Spode Christmas Tree Covered Dish & Casserole – Oven-to-Table, 2‑Pc Set

This vintage 2-piece Oven-to-Table bakeware set from Spode’s enduring Christmas Tree collection includes a lidded round covered dish and a rectangular handled casserole. Both are crafted in durable ceramic for oven use and are marked on the base: “Christmas Tree – Oven to Table – Spode England.” The covered dish also bears a stamped letter “F,” which is believed to correspond to Spode’s internal mold or production codes, commonly found on mid-to-late 20th century English-made pieces.

Decorated in the signature 1938 pattern—featuring a fully trimmed Christmas tree, surrounded by mistletoe and holly sprigs, and edged in Spode’s signature green band—these forms are part of a lesser-seen oven-safe variation of the Christmas Tree line. Heavier than typical dinnerware, these pieces were designed for function and festive presentation. They were reproduced from hand-engraved copper plates, as noted in the backstamp, and were in production until the early 2000s.

Condition:
