Description

Jean Claude Picot “Deux Femme au Balcon” – Signed Limited-Edition Serigraph #322/350

This striking serigraph, titled “Deux Femme au Balcon” (1992), is an original work by renowned French artist Jean Claude Picot (1933–2020). Known for his vivid Fauvist-inspired palette and joyful depictions of Parisian life, Picot captures two elegantly dressed women on a balcony overlooking the Seine, surrounded by colorful floral arrangements and decorative interior elements. The composition blends cityscape charm with still-life intimacy, showcasing Picot’s mastery of color and form. Hand-signed “J. Picot” in the lower right and numbered 322/350 in pencil, this limited edition exemplifies Picot’s sought-after style and collectible appeal.

Presentation
The artwork is professionally matted and presented in a classic gilt frame with plexiglass protection, enhancing its visual impact and ready-to-hang display.

  • Frame Size: 37" × 43"

  • Visible Image Size: 24" × 30"

Condition
The serigraph itself is in good condition, with vibrant colors and no visible surface flaws. The gilt frame shows minor chips and wear consistent with age. Small debris is present behind the plexiglass but does not affect the artwork’s presentation. Please see photos for details.

While the original Park West Gallery Certificate of Authenticity is not included, MVES will issue a Certificate of Authenticity upon request, confirming the edition number (#322/350), artist signature, and artwork details.
