Fenton Iridized Opal Glass Bear - Hand-Painted & Signed by W. Yenick
Endearing Fenton Art Glass teddy bear cast in opalescent white glass, then flashed with a pastel carnival-style iridescence that catches soft pinks, greens and golds. The sleepy-eyed cub is decorated with hand-painted coneflower blossoms and olive leaves by Fenton artist W. Yenick—his gold-enamel script “Hand-painted by W. Yenick” is penned on the ground base. Authenticity is further confirmed by the raised Fenton oval logo on the back and the original silver “Fenton • Handmade in USA” foil label. Produced in Williamstown, West Virginia during Fenton’s late-20th-century animal-figurine series, this luminous little bear adds a dash of sparkle to any curio, nursery or Fenton glass collection.
