Hubley Cast Iron Boston Terrier Doorstop – Hand Painted, 10.5”
This antique cast iron Boston Terrier doorstop is attributed to the renowned Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, circa 1910–1940. Hubley was celebrated for its finely detailed doorstops, and this example captures the alert stance and characteristic features of the breed with remarkable accuracy. The piece is constructed in two cast halves joined by flathead screws, a signature Hubley method, and retains a hand-painted black-and-white finish with charming age wear that adds to its authentic vintage appeal.
Weighing approximately 7 lbs and measuring 10 1/2" high by 9" long and 5" wide, this doorstop is both functional and decorative—a substantial piece ideal for collectors of antique cast iron, Americana, or dog memorabilia. Hubley Boston Terriers are among the most sought-after designs, prized for their lifelike form and enduring quality.
