Description

Houston Llew Spiritile No. 030 “In Tune” – Glass on Copper Wall Hanging

Offered here is Spiritile No. 030 titled “In Tune” by enamel artist Houston Llew. Handcrafted in Atlanta, Georgia, this mixed-media wall hanging is made using glass enamel fused to copper and mounted on a kiln-fired block. The tile features a stylized acoustic guitar with flowing musical notes against a richly textured background. The embossed quotes on the sides read: “let the music play.” and “Life and love go on,” referencing Johnny Cash—whose name is also impressed across the top of the piece.

“In Tune” was originally released in 2009 and officially retired in 2020, making this a sought-after edition in Llew’s collectible Spiritile series. The back is stamped with the edition number, title, and maker's mark, while the underside carries the artist’s signature. Suitable for hanging or shelf display, this piece is both visually striking and emotionally resonant—a heartfelt tribute to music and legacy.

Condition:
Good condition overall, with some visible surface wear and craquelure consistent with the artist’s glass-on-copper technique. Edges show light rubbing. Displays well with no structural issues.

Dimensions:
8.5" x 5.25" x 1.75"

Now retired and increasingly collectible, this Spiritile offers a meaningful blend of visual art and lyrical homage. A compelling addition for music lovers, Houston Llew collectors, or fans of American craftsmanship—bid now to own a timeless tribute.
