Antique 1901 Kellogg Wall Phone — Oak, Modernized
A 1901 Kellogg wall-mounted telephone, featuring a beautifully crafted solid oak cabinet with classic dovetail joinery and arched top. This model includes twin nickel-plated bells, and a black Bakelite receiver with an adjustable transmitter/mouthpiece—hallmarks of Kellogg's turn-of-the-century engineering.
Internally, this unit has been modified to function with modern-ish telephone systems, offering a seamless blend of historic charm and contemporary usability. Often referred to as a "coffin phone" due to its boxy silhouette, this model represents one of the early independent competitors to the Bell System, making it both collectible and historically significant.
Marked and styled in keeping with early Kellogg Manufacturing Co. models, this piece is ideal for collectors of antique technology or as a unique vintage accent in a study, office, or period home.
