German 835 Silver & Cut Crystal Ashtray – 8" Heavy Mid-Century Design

This substantial vintage ashtray combines brilliant cut crystal with a sterling silver collar stamped “835” alongside the German crescent moon and crown hallmark, denoting solid German silver (.835 fineness). Also marked “3” and “2” with a pictorial maker’s stamp beneath one of the cigar rests. Weighing over 4 lbs, this piece features bold, radial cutwork and a flared scalloped base that refracts light beautifully. The wide silver rim supports three heavy gauge cigar rests, typical of mid-century European design. A refined and functional decorative piece—ideal for a collector of fine barware or tobacciana.

Condition

In good vintage condition with signs of wear. The silver rim shows expected surface marks and tarnish; we’ve left polishing to the buyer’s preference. The glass body has scattered tiny flea bites and small chips, mainly to the cut edges, none of which detract significantly from its visual appeal. Please review images closely for details.
