Signed DV & LV Pueblo-Style Bowls, 1998 – Hand-Coiled Set of 3
Set of three hand-coiled and painted Pueblo-style pottery bowls, each signed and dated 1998. The largest bowl (10.5" x 2.75") is signed DV, while the other two (8.25" x 3" and 7.75" x 2.25") are signed LV. All three feature traditional Southwestern motifs in black on cream or grey-toned clay, with distinct geometric and abstract designs.
Crafted using traditional techniques, these bowls exhibit intentional irregularities and subtle surface variation, consistent with hand-coiled pottery. The stylized forms and patterns evoke influences from Hopi or Acoma traditions, yet the individual signatures suggest contemporary interpretations by Native or regional artists.
A compelling trio for collectors of Native American-inspired ceramics or Southwestern decorative arts.
Condition
In good condition overall, with visible surface wear and small scuffs as shown. Each bowl retains strong visual appeal, with no significant structural damage. Signs of use and natural irregularities from the hand-building and firing process are present.
