Studio Pottery Trio – Signed Planter & Ribbed Vessels, Contemporary Handmade
A sculptural set of three hand-thrown studio pottery vessels, including one large signed planter and two smaller ribbed pieces. The largest pot features a painterly glaze in soft blue and tan washes over a natural clay body, with vertical brushstroke accents and a thick, flared rim. It is signed with an impressed mark reading “HK” or “KH” near the rim—possibly indicating a contemporary or late 20th-century studio potter. The companion vessels display finely ribbed textures and pale, speckled glazing, with simple rounded forms that complement the larger piece. Together, the trio offers a refined yet earthy aesthetic, ideal for use as planters, display bowls, or sculptural interior accents. A Campbell’s soup can is shown in the photos for scale.
Condition:
Good condition overall, with some wear and signs of use. Minor surface marks and typical firing irregularities are present. The signature on the large vessel is intact and legible. No structural cracks or chips noted.
Dimensions:
- Small ribbed vessel: 4 x 5 inches
- Medium ribbed vessel: 6 x 8 inches
- Large signed planter: 10 x 12 inches
