Aladdin Model 23 Amber Glass Pedestal Kerosene Lamp with Swirl Milk-Glass Shade
A classic Aladdin brilliance in the sought-after Washington Drape pattern. The crystal-clear pressed-glass font and pedestal display graceful swag folds recalling early-American bunting. A brass Model 23 burner, maker-marked on the wick knob, threads directly into the font and accepts current Aladdin mantles for bright, odor-free light. The set retains its etched “Aladdin” Lox-On chimney and a 10-inch white opal milk-glass shade molded in a dramatic spiral rib that diffuses a warm, even glow. Produced 1940s–early ’50s, this lamp marries collectible vintage glass with still-supported hardware—perfect for display, storm lighting, or period décor.
Condition
Good overall with honest signs of use. Glass is clear and glossy with no cracks; interior shows residual red kerosene. Shade rim has a couple of pinpoint flea-bite nicks; foot exhibits light shelf wear. Burner threads engage smoothly, wick rises freely, brass shows mild age-tarnish.
