Franz Bahner German 100+ oz Silver Flatware Set, FBZ2 Pattern – 94 Pcs
This exceptional 94-piece flatware service is a fully matched and historically significant example of early 20th-century German silver craftsmanship. Produced in 800-grade silver (80% pure) by the workshop of Franz Bahner in Düsseldorf and retailed by Gustav Schmitz, this set exemplifies the elegance of continental silver design.
The pieces are executed in the FBZ2 pattern, featuring neoclassical garland motifs and sculpted terminals, many monogrammed with a stylized “R.” Each is marked “800” with Germany’s crescent moon and crown hallmark, certifying both silver content and origin.
The full service for ten is presented in its original hardwood case, lined in soft pink fabric with fitted utensil slots. The set is fully documented and includes an updated silver content valuation based on current market conditions.
