ASCO U.S. .50 Cal M2 Ammo Box — WWII-Era Steel Can, Olive Drab
Authentic U.S. military ammunition can, manufactured by ASCO and marked “AMM. BOX CAL. 50 M2.” This steel ammo box was designed for .50 caliber cartridges and is finished in olive drab with stenciled yellow text denoting repacked .50 cal A.P.I. M8 rounds, lot LC-L-12288. This steel ammo box is painted in standard olive drab and features bold yellow stenciling that reads: “105 CAL. 50 LINKED, A.P.I. M8 REPACK’D LOT LC-L-12288.” The designation and format suggest this was repacked at a later date, likely post-WWII through the Cold War period.
Condition:
In good condition with visible wear from use. Surface shows scratches, scuffs, and some oxidation. The rubber gasket remains intact and seals the lid tightly. Empty interior. See photos for details.
