Chinana Jemez Pueblo Pottery Bowl — Hand-Coiled, Painted Corn Motif
This hand-coiled and painted pottery bowl by a member of the Chinana family of Jemez Pueblo features a classic corn motif rendered in natural red, black, and cream pigments. The design incorporates stylized stalks framed by bold angular bands and traditional linear accents, emblematic of Jemez Pueblo artistry. The bowl's soft form and matte finish give it a grounded, earthy presence.
Signed on the underside “Chinana / Jemez,” this piece reflects the cultural and artistic heritage of one of New Mexico’s celebrated Pueblo pottery families. Though modest in scale, it offers strong visual appeal for collectors of Southwestern Native American ceramics.
Condition:
In fair condition. There is visible surface wear, including scuffing, paint loss, and abrasions, particularly around the rim. Noticeable adhesive residue is present on the underside and one side. No structural cracks or breaks are visible, but overall presentation is affected by handling wear.

- Height: 3.75 inches
- Diameter: 6 inches
