Offered here is an original Collins & Co. “Legitimus” No. 13 machete complete with its fitted leather scabbard. Renowned for durable cutting tools, Collins & Co. crafted this model for rugged field and plantation work. The blade is clearly marked “Collins & Co” and “Legitimus” beneath the iconic crown and arm emblem, with the model number “13” visible. This example features a sturdy wooden handle with brass rivets and a classic wide 22-inch blade. The hand-stitched leather scabbard includes a metal belt clip and shows authentic age and field use. A genuine collectible for vintage tool enthusiasts or display in an agricultural or military history collection.

Condition

In fair to poor condition overall, showing honest age and use. The blade has extensive rust throughout, notably at the tip, and chips are present.
